Wouldn’t it be great if our diet could provide all that our bodies needed to be healthy? There was a time when this was true, but in our over-processed and nutrient lacking culture, food often just is not enough. I support eating a healthy and well balanced diet to provide nourishment, but I also think that learning more about the necessary balance our bodies need to thrive is a critical step in pursuing long-term health. Being your healthiest isn’t just what you eat, it is your lifestyle, your physical activity level, your stress, and your attitude.
I’m all about pursuing natural options, and I support functional medicine and a more holistic approach to healthcare. I think that each person needs to strive to become educated and informed so that they can be their own health advocate. Weigh what you hear with your own research, get second opinions, and find someone who listens to you! I am convinced that no other person can have the interest in your health and well being that you have, so look out for yourself! I am not a doctor, or a nutritionist.
